Biography

Guo Jianhua, Attending Physician and U.S.-trained Doctor of Medicine, works at the Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine; he graduated with a doctorate in Surgery from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine; he serves as a member of the Surgery Group of the Chinese Society of Andrology, Secretary-General of the First and Second National Andrological Surgery Conferences, a national committee member of the Male Reproductive Medicine Branch of the China Sexology Association, and an editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Andrology. He has been engaged in clinical medical work since August 2002 and in basic and clinical andrology work since September 2004. 

From April to May 2011, he attended the advanced training course at the IRCAD Minimally Invasive Surgery Center in France and received specialized training in minimally invasive surgery; from February 2017 to February 2018, he was a visiting scholar at Tulane University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in the United States, studying under Professor Hellstrom, President of the International Society for Sexual Medicine, and Professor Run Wang, President of the North American Society for Sexual Medicine, and entered the operating room to specifically study two major surgical techniques: penile reconstruction and penile prosthesis.

1. Specializes in various “signature hidden-scar/minimal-scar” lengthening and augmentation surgeries for concealed penis;  
2. Specializes in augmentation and lengthening surgery for micropenis;  
3. Specializes in “signature hidden-scar/minimal-scar” straightening surgery for various complex penile curvatures and Peyronie's disease;  
4. Specializes in lipectomy, abdominoplasty, and penile lengthening for severe obesity-related buried penis;  
5. Specializes in minimally invasive liposuction and penile lengthening for severe obesity-related concealed penis;
 6. Specializes in skin grafting and revision/re-repair surgery for short foreskin after penile surgery;  
7. Specializes in excision, skin grafting, and tension-free repair surgery for penile divided nevus;
 8. Specializes in implantation of a three-piece inflatable penile prosthesis for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (“impotence”);
 9. Specializes in penile plastic and reconstructive surgeries for webbed penis, penoscrotal transposition, penile hemangioma, short preputial frenulum, preputial scar, and other conditions;
